What is it?

First you need to find out what a papilloma on the body is. They are a benign tumor and appear on the skin as a lump. They can be painted in various shades: pink, beige, brown and red. The size of such a tumor varies from one mm to several centimeters (usually the diameter of the papilloma is one to three centimeters). It is soft to the touch, which can resemble acne - a localized type of inflammation. However, the nature of such formations is quite different.

Specifics

Papillomas can change size quickly and affect nearby tissues. In addition, there are cancers that are not advanced. Papillomas mainly appear on the legs, face, hands and mucous membranes. A little less often they appear on the trunk, very rarely such tumors are found on the internal organs (including the genitals).

Removal of papillomas is now done in many clinics.

The reason for appearing

The reason why tumors appear on the mucous membranes and skin, which resemble nipples in their appearance, is due to the human papillomavirus or HPV. The virus is carried by about 90% of people worldwide. Many people, being carriers of the disease, don't even realize that they have it. The catalyst for the appearance of papillomas is a sharp decrease in immunity.

Types

They are divided into several categories, identified by the type of virus that causes the benign cancer:

  • classic warts - types 2 and 4;
  • flat warts - types 3 and 10;
  • warts - types 6 and 11.

Viruses 11 and 6 were included in the reduced risk group. Such pathologies are treated quite simply. However, there are also dangerous types of HPV that develop at a later stage into cervical cancer and dysplasia. To eliminate such risks, it is necessary to establish the reasons for their formation. How to get rid of papillomas is of interest to many people.

How is the HPV virus transmitted?

Papilloma can be contracted by household contact if you share hygiene items or come into contact with the skin of someone who has the virus. Usually, however, the transmission of papillomas occurs through sexual contact. It is worth noting that even condoms do not help to avoid infection, since in this case contact with the mucous membranes and skin of the carrier is not excluded. The virus can also be infected in places with high humidity (spa, steam room, bathtub, public beach, swimming pool).

Where to remove papillomas, we will tell at the end of the article.

How to determine the presence of papillomas?

Sometimes during the "maturing" of the human papillomavirus, a patient may develop a fever. In more frequent cases, however, the incubation period ends unequivocally and develops into a disease stage without any symptoms. It is possible to determine the presence of papillomas and the type of tumor only when the tumor has already formed. Types of papillomas and their signs are as follows:

  • warts (simple papillomas): affected areas - legs and hands, distinguished by a keratotic, dense surface, more than a millimeter in diameter, painless;
  • papillomatosis of the mammary glands: characterized by a colorless or bloody discharge from the nipple, well defined by a specialist on palpation;
  • flat shape: they can be smooth and rough, resembling externally "flat" warts, appear in the area under the breast, armpits and on the face, cause mild pain and discomfort, diameter - from 3 to 5 mm;
  • filamentous: they are distinguished by their elongated shape, often with a papilla at the end, causing painful sensations of discomfort when in contact with clothing, appearing in the eyes, armpits and neck, elastic in nature;
  • sharp tumors: appearing in the groin and genitals, different from pale pink, with pointed tips (outwardly they resemble combs);
  • papillomatosis in the throat: appears on the mucous membrane of the larynx, pharynx and pharynx, which does not allow you to calmly eat, speak and breathe;
  • foot papilloma: a tumor that forms inside the patient's foot, looks like a corn, but the color and texture of the corn kernels are not natural.

treatment of papillomas

It was noted above that it is impossible to remove such a virus from the human body. Currently, there are no drugs that can completely eliminate the HPV virus. You can only prevent the manifestation of the infection by boosting your immune system adequately. You can only deal with the consequences of an infection that has already occurred. Therefore, one should talk only about the struggle with external manifestations, not their origin.

How are papillomas treated?

Conservative therapy

Conservative HPV therapy includes the use of antivirals and immunomodulators. Immunomodulatory drugs are prescribed only after establishing cellular sensitivity to the drug and determining the state of the human immune system.

Means that have become widely available and can cope with the manifestations of HPV are:

  • antiviral ointments for papillomas;
  • interferon synthesis inducer;
  • drugs with carcinogenic effects;
  • immunomodulatory agent with a specific effect.

In addition, for the purpose of treating HPV, an agent is prescribed, the active component of which is a purine derivative and has not only antiviral but also immunostimulating effects. It is prescribed even to children over three years old. Effective in cases of papillomas in the genital area and larynx. Among the common papilloma treatments that doctors favorably refer to, include:

  • echinacea infusion;
  • decoctions of rose hips and herbal preparations.

Boost immunity

Such funds also have a positive effect on immunity, help strengthen immunity and have a general healing effect. However, some folk methods cannot be called safe. In addition, treating with decoctions and decoctions without drugs is a serious mistake. Because patients do not seek medical attention in time, malignancy can form and can be identified and eliminated in the early stages.

Taking the drug is necessarily accompanied by the elimination of the direct source of infection, but not with the help of creams or ointments, but only with surgery.

Consider treating genital warts with folk remedies.

The most effective folk remedies

Nowadays, people do not always trust modern medical means and often prefer to use proven folk methods of treatment. First of all, you need to remember that HPV is a consequence of weak immunity, so you need to take care first and only then - about cosmetic defects of the pathology. Coagulation as a method of removing papillomas
  • Strengthen immunity with garlic tincture: 500 grams of chopped vegetables, pour the same amount of unrefined sunflower oil in, leave in a cool place for about three days. Then add barley flakes (300 grams) to the resulting mixture. You need to take this remedy in one teaspoon per day before meals. A monthly course is recommended. How else to get rid of papillomas?
  • Rowan. These berries should be rubbed into the papilloma, and this procedure should be carried out as often as possible. The disadvantage of this method is that the product is seasonal.
  • A good remedy for papillomas is potato tubers. This vegetable is famous for its medicinal properties. Drink freshly squeezed potato juice (100 ml) on an empty stomach in the morning and evening. In a month, the papillomas will decrease, while the human body's defenses will be restored.
  • A great way to get rid of cancer is celandine. Fresh juice of this plant should be applied to papillomas and this procedure should be repeated several times a day. Warts will fall off on their own after a few days, but you may not be able to separate them on your own.
  • Laundry soap for papillomas on the body. It should be applied to problem areas with a thick layer every evening. Papillomas will become drier in the morning, then they will dry completely.
  • It is possible to dry papillomas with medical alcohol. The neck of the callus should be applied to the painful area and held for a few minutes. Such a procedure will help to remove a benign tumor.
  • Another remedy for papillomas - many essential oils will also help fight nasty growths. To do this, every day you need to apply two drops of oil (lavender, tea tree, lemon, eucalyptus) to the affected area. Such manipulations are carried out for about two weeks, if more time is needed for recovery, you can extend the course by a week. Essential oils are not recommended for use in the treatment of papillomas in children. A baby's delicate skin can react negatively to the ingredients of essential oils. Removing papillomas at home is a long process.
  • According to the principle of laundry soap, tar is used. Such a remedy is very useful in that it contains 10% birch tar. Thanks to that, the papillomas are dried, inflamed and do not leave scars on the damaged area. Many people complain about the soapy smell, but it goes away pretty quickly. Product must be stored in sealed packaging.
  • In addition to ointments for papillomas, tying thread is often used. This method has been used for a long time, but in modern medicine, it does not receive approval. With the help of a thread, the base is tied and the access of blood to the papilloma is blocked. However, such manipulations can make the situation worse, possibly infected, so you should still not do them.
  • Iodine is another antiseptic that is used only in the cold season to prevent sunlight from reaching the papilloma. To protect the surrounding skin areas, you need to lubricate them with an oil-reducing cream. After that, the procedure can be carried out: dip a cotton swab in iodine solution and attach it to the tumor, hold for about a minute. After a few manipulations, the papilloma will dry out and quickly disappear. We looked at how to treat papillomas with folk remedies.

To enhance the effect, you need to add a decoction of wild rose, rope and calendula to the diet. This strengthens the immune system and helps get rid of papillomas.

Where to remove papilloma?

Naturally, private clinics have more modern equipment than state-owned medical facilities. That is why many people use their service, not paying too much attention to the high cost. But in addition, the location of the growths must also be taken into account.

An entire intact papilloma is considered a cosmetic problem only, so its removal is not free. If it bleeds, becomes infected, causes pain and itching, then this is already a threat to the patient's health. For the removal of such growth, money is usually not charged.
